NPR's "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" is taping in San Francisco tomorrow (Friday, August 11) with METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich as one of the guests. This program has been sold out for some time, but METALLICA has got tickets for a few lucky winners. The wildly popular and long-running hour-long weekly radio news panel game show is taping at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco and you must be there by 7:00 p.m. If you would like to join METALLICA to be a part of the live audience, please e-mail webmaster3@metclub.com with "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" in the subject line and your name and where you live in the e-mail. The band award a few lucky, random people with a pair of tickets after 10 a.m. PDT tomorrow morning. The show, which is in its twentieth season this year, features host Peter Sagal leading a changing panel of guests including celebrities, journalists, and humorists through a quiz-based review of the week's news. Bill Kurtis helps things along as judge and scorekeeper. Contestants compete on the show for a grand prize in the form of a custom voice-mail greeting from "scorekeeper emeritus" Carl Kasell. Kasell served as official judge and scorekeeper on the program from its launch in 1998 up until 2014. Recorded out of Chicago, "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" regularly takes its act on the road for live dates. It airs on more than seven hundred NPR stations throughout the country.
